At Fresh Water Systems, we offer a number of systems to reduce contaminants and water problems such as:
Fluoride. Fluoride was first introduced into the US water supply in an effort to combat tooth decay, but now with more advanced dental practices and toothpastes, it is not necessary and can be dangerous.
Chlorine. Chlorination is the process of adding chlorine to the water in order to kill germs and fight against waterborne diseases and E. coli. Consuming chlorine in large quantities can be dangerous to one's health. Washing your hair and body with chlorinated water can also cause skin irritation and hair dryness.
Chloramine. Too much chloramine consumption could also lead to nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) forming in the body, which the EPA now claims is a probable carcinogen.
Hard Water and Scale. Having hard water can cause you a variety of problems. Because calcium, lime, and magnesium are very sticky minerals, they can deposit and build up on your pipes and faucets, causing clogs and other problems.
Microorganisms. Even if the municipal water is safe when it leaves the treatment plant, there is no guarantee that it will remain so once it reaches your home. Microorganisms such as giardia or E. coli can be very dangerous if found in your water supply.
