FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene) is known for its gas and vapor permeability properties and excellent UV transmission ratings. While very similar in composition to PTFE, there are a few notable differences. FEP clearer and more flexible than PTFE, and has a lower heat shrink temperature.
Applications:
- Adhesives
- Beverage
- Chemical Plants
- Medical
- Sight Glass
- Corrosives
- Cyrogenics
- Deionized Water Transfer
- Solvents
- Water Sampling
- Food Transfer
- Lighting Covers
- Laboratory
- Pure Water Systems
- Wire Insulation
- Chemically inert; low permeability
- Proudly made in the USA
- An economical alternative to Teflon® tubing
- Manufactured from FDA compliant materials for use with food contact surfaces
- Lowest coefficient of friction of any solid material
- Excellent electrical and weathering properties; non-flammable
- Made without plasticizer which can leach into critical streams
- Ultra-high-purity grades available for the semiconductor industry
- Inner Diameter: 3/8" (.375")
- Outer Diameter: 7/16" (.438")
- Wall Thickness: .030"
- Working PSI @ 70°F : 110
- Burst PSI @ 70°F: 550
- Standard Coil Length: 25 ft. *
- Hardness: 55-60 Shore D ±5
- Tensile Strength: 4000 psi
- Elongation at Break: 250-330%
- Brittle Temperature: <-450 °F
- Materials: Fluoropolymer FEP
