The 60010005 is an Overflow Adapter for Water Softener Brine Tanks. This fitting mounts on the side of the brine tank and tightens down with the wing nut and gasket which are included. This fitting allows you to attach a 1/2" I.D. hose to divert the water out of the brine tank in case it starts to over flow.
