The Pentek / Ametek CGAC-10 water filter cartridge features a unique advanced carbon media that is much more effective than standard granular carbons for reduction of chloramine taste and odor. The construction of the Pentek CGAC-10 water filter cartridge allows water to enter at one end and pass through the entire length of the carbon bed before exiting the other end of the cartridge. An internal expansion pad minimizes channeling or bypass. This design allows for maximum contact between the water and carbon, ensuring maximum adsorption. 

*The CGAC-10 has been discontinued and has been replaced with the ChlorPlus-10. The CGAC-10 utilizes advanced activated carbon technology which allows excellent chloramine reduction as well as superior chlorine reduction.
