Description
Description
The Omnipure K2340-BB Inline GAC Postfilter is designed to reduce chlorine, taste and odor and has a flow rate of 0.5 gallons per minute. One of the primary uses of this product is as a system component. The benefit is derived from the fitting being molded directly into the filter cap, greatly reducing clearance. The uniform system is the most efficient use of available space and greater filtering performance in a smaller overall area.
Specifications:
Coconut shell is the preferred choice considering it’s a renewable source and 90% +/- surface area exists as micro-pores. Because micro-pores match the size of contaminant molecules in drinking water, they are highly effective in trapping contaminants.
The "33" in the part number originally denoted Bituminous Coal whereas the "40" denoted Coconut Shell Activated Carbon. Now that Coconut Shell is used for all filters, the “33” and “40” no longer represent the type of Activated Carbon.
